Singapore Changi Airport (SIN)
Airlines and Terminals
(Singapore City, Singapore)
A major transport hub for South-Eastern Asia, Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) is served by many domestic and international airlines. Of the 70+ airlines based here, the most significant include the likes of Jetstar Airways, SilkAir, Singapore Airlines and Tiger Airways.
Singapore's airport comes with two runways, which run parallel to each other and are overseen by an 80-metre / 262-foot tall Air Traffic Control Tower.
There are currently three terminals, which are logically named T1, T2 and T3. The latter of these is the result of a recent SGD 1.5 billion project, while a further plan for a fourth is underway. Together, these are capable of dealing with annual passenger numbers of more than 65 million.
The terminals are linked by a common area and airside passengers are able to move around freely between the interconnected spaces. Moving walkways and a skytrain service are on hand for those needing to move between the terminals.
